22nd Mar 2017 9:00am-4:00pm

Glen Innes Research Station, Strathbogie Rd
Glen Innes

The 2017 Pasture Update for Northern Tablelands producers is being held on Wednesday 22 March at the Glen Innes Research Station.

Keynote speaker is Richard Simpson, Senior Research Scientist with CSIRO's Agriculture Flagship. Richard will address one of the key farm inputs in the Northern Tablelands region - the use of phosphorous fertilisers. The Australian farming community and researchers have identified several key issues with the use of phosphorous  - its long term price is increasing at double the inflation rate, input costs are approximately 25% of variable costs and phosphorous use efficiency is very low (Haling, 2016).

Find out how current industry research can be applied on your farm.

Cost is $20 which includes morning tea and lunch.
